Red Tulip
In January this year when I was going out early in the morning I took notice to the beautiful sunrise that God allowed me to see. Later on that day I went to my procreate app on my iPad on did a recreation of that. The background was in soft pastel and the buildings were with just painted in. I used perspective to draw in the buildings in the foreground.
Since all of us had to endure CoVid 19 this year, including myself, An image was made on procreate to illustrate the altimate power of God over this pandemic. When 2020 began, we would have never thought this would come into all of our lives that would effect us all. Even the new norm is wearing a mask and social distancing, God still has the victory over this pandemic. A
This picture is a follow up to Glory 1. It shows the cross appearing out of clouds instead from outer space. Both were created with procreate. I used cloud brushes going on the outside in the first layer. For the second layer I used the shape tool for the cross and filled it in with a light brush effect. I put the glow on the outside of the cross with the same effect for my third layer, except the brush was adjusted smaller. This was one of the quickest works that I had ever done in only four hours.
Several months ago went to a digital illustration class were I learned a program called Procrate on an I Pad. Since then I bought one of my own and downloaded the program on it to continue experimenting with Procareate. After making many mistakes with mastering the layers and brushes in this program I finally came up with this picture. Sometimes the trials are well worth it.
In a couple of weeks, my husband and I will be attending the Bloomsburg Fair here in north central Pennsylvania. I took this picture of the main fairway a couple of years ago and remade it into a digital picture. I used the poster effect to make the adjustments to it to create the effect.
I was at church three weeks ago to hear a speaker talk about the Christian response to anxiety. At one point, he used the term "Pink Elephant." This term inspired me to do an 11x14 pink elephant with acrylic paint on a black canvas panel. I used neon Masters Touch acrylic paint that I purchased from Hobby Lobby to get out the effect. Sparkle acrylic paint was used in the background.
This seascape is a piece done by memory from a trip to Wildwood New Jersey and Ocean city Maryland. This was observed while walking along the shore when the sun was setting. It was done on light blue pastel paper with oil pastels.
Quite some time ago I was on my paint program on the computer doing the outline of the star mixed media painting. I printed the outline onto plain paper. I bought a small 8X10 at an art store and transferred the outline with Saral graphite transfer paper on to the board with an HB pencil. The bright acrylic paint was added inside the visible lines in four coats. The ink that was put on the lines is from a Micron 88. The picture was done by imagination alone
